Trent Alexander-Arnold arrives for training in new £66k Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe as Liverpool stars focus attentions towards Tottenham clash
Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to Liverpool training in style on Thursday after the international break.
Right back Alexander-Arnold, who played 78 minutes in England’s 1-0 win over Switzerland in Leicester on Tuesday, arrived back at Melwood driving a new Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe, worth £66,000.
Alexander-Arnold and Co are back in action on Saturday when Liverpool face Tottenham in the Premier League at Wembley.
Five of the players who were Alexander-Arnold’s team-mates on England duty — Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane — will likely be part of the opposition this weekend.
Alexander-Arnold was not the only player returning to Melwood on Thursday after spending time away during the international break.
Fellow England defender Joe Gomez was back too and is expected to play alongside Alexander-Arnold in Liverpool’s back four at Wembley.
Goalkeeper Alisson and striker Roberto Firmino both wore sunglasses as they drove into work after helping Brazil to a 2-0 win over the USA. Firmino scored the winner in that match, before both were unused substitutes in a 5-0 victory over El Salvador.
Brazil midfielder Fabinho was also back on Thursday having played for Brazil against the USA.
Xherdan Shaqiri gave a thumbs up at Melwood gates as he returned to club training after being on the losing side for Switzerland against England.
