Liverpool duo starlet nominated for Golden Boy award

Stefan Bajcetic and Harvey Elliott, two rising stars from Liverpool, have been nominated for the Golden Boy Award.

Young Liverpool players Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic are finalists for the 2023 Golden Boy award.

There are 100 players on the shortlist, including some of the top young talents in Europe. A player must be under 21 to be eligible for this prize.

Later this year, a jury of 50 international journalists will choose the winner. Elliott and Bajcetic will be considered, given how well they performed for Liverpool during such a challenging season.

If we examine the statistics, the former played 46 games, notched five goals, and provided two assists. The majority of his games were spent as a center midfielder on the right side. While Mohamed Salah was taking a break, Jurgen Klopp utilized him as a winger.

Contrarily, Bajcetic entered the picture later in the season but had a good second half of the year before suffering a serious ιnjury in March. The young Spaniard displayed his skill in midfield even in those few appearances, and Klopp was steadily making him his go-to player.

Whether they play for Liverpool or somewhere else, these two young athletes are predicted to have a successful career.

Elliott is a versatile player who can play on the right wing, as a playmaker, or in central midfield, but he is still getting used to that position.

Bajcetic is technically capable of playing both as a number eight and as a lone defensive midfielder. He is on par with some of the finest midfielders in the division in terms of passing and game reading.

We congratulate the team on their Golden Boy Award nomination. Even while it may sound a little impossible given the competition they face, which includes people like Jamal Musiala, Jude Bellingham, and Gavi, the aim is that one of them wins the award later this year.
