The 22-year-old spends his fortune on his family, purchasing a luxury home for them.
He grew up in Edgeley, Stockport, and is still frequently seen in the area.

It’s a long way from when Foden was a football-crazy kid kicking his ball down the street in Edgeley with his parents, Phil Sr and Claire, and older brother Callum.
Indeed, his increasing wealth has changed the life of his paternal grandmother Mary, allowing him to purchase a £200,000 bay-fronted house just up the road from where he grew up.
She was the one who gave him the nickname ‘Ronnie,’ referring to him as a ‘Ronnie Roundhead’ due to the shape of his head. And Foden’s grandfather, Walter, died at the age of 47, which inspired his Man City squad number. Foden clearly values family, as he has four younger siblings, and he is proud of his Stockport roots.
Man City scouted Foden as a youngster, and he progressed through their academy before making his debut in 2017, at the age of 17.

‘He’s never Phil Foden to us, he’s always “Ronnie,”‘ said Colette Haworth, 28, the Royal Oak pub’s landlady. ‘You’ll often see him pushing a pram or carrying a takeaway and a bottle of wine through the precinct.
On social media, comparisons have been made between Phil Foden and a grumpy-looking cat dubbed Phil Fur-den.
‘People here are very proud of him for staying so close to his roots.’ ‘He still comes into the shop with his girlfriend, he’s really down-to-earth – he takes his kids to the park over the road and goes fishing in the local lake,’ said local shopkeeper Harish Panchani, 54.
‘Can you say that about many top footballers?’ ‘The whole family are just decent people, and I’m sure the way he’s still so rooted in the community is a big part of how he’s handled becoming so famous,’ Mr Panchani added.
‘I think he’s on track to be the best player in the world,’ said his former coach Steve Eyre. Fishing is a third recurring theme in Foden’s life, alongside football and family.
He was unable to attend the City players’ 2018 Premier League title celebrations due to a pre-planned fishing trip with his father. ‘It’s great for clearing your head after a bad game,’ he said. The demands of football and fatherhood leave him with little time for the hobby these days.
Despite this, Foden remains committed to angling friends like Paul Adrian, who received a call from Foden following his sensational performance against Wales on Tuesday. ‘He was on Cloud Nine,’ Mr Adrian, 50, of Droylsden, Manchester, said from his tackle shop. ‘He was just really upbeat and excited because it was obviously his first World Cup goal.’
