Transfer news: Liverpool very close to 99% secure perfect signing of 6ft4 ‘monster’ player

Liverpool wants to bolster their backline this summer in addition to the midfield, and they are interested in Dutch youngster Micky van de Ven.

In an exclusive report, Football Insider claimed that Liverpool would outbid Spurs for the services of the Wolfsburg defender.

According to the news source, Jurgen Klopp is eager to strengthen the Reds’ defense and they have already started looking for a defensive player.

Van de Ven is the ideal candidate for the team, according to the Anfield club, which is looking for a versatile defender who can play in both the back four and back three systems.

The 22-year-old defender earned 36 games for the German squad last year, including six as a left back and 30 as a center back, and he contributed to the team’s 12 shutouts.

The 6 foot 3 defender helped Wolfsburg move up to eighth position in the Bundesliga by scoring a goal and dishing out two assists in the attacking third.

Van de Ven’s current contract is set to end in 2027, and according to media reports (WAZ), he won’t be permitted to depart this summer until the asking price of £25.7 million (30 million euros) is satisfied.

The former Volendam player is currently a member of the Netherlands team competing in the U-21 European Championships. He played the entire 90 minutes against Belgium in the first group game, which finished 0-0.

Additionally, he played the entire encounter against Portugal in the second group game over the weekend, which ended 1-1.

Liverpool’s defense was incredibly erratic last season. Should they offer £25.7 million to sign Micky van de Ven, in your opinion?
