Messi visited Rosario, Argentina, over the weekend to take part in a memorial game for his late teammates Riquelme and Maxi Rodriguez at the Buenos Aires club.
Messi told the broadcaster, “It’s a great feeling to be able to be at the Riquelme tribute game, for all he has given to football in Argentina and to Boca Junior.” Argentina is pictured.

“I haven’t celebrated my birthday with my family and friends in Rosario in a very long time. It’s every bridge’s goal, even though what we accomplished (winning the World Cup) was unique and extraordinary. Soccer players keep going.
I will cherish and remember what I have accomplished even more when it’s time for me to say goodbye to football.
