Scoring both on and off the court, Andrew Wiggins, the guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, has successfully sold his Minnesota home for $1.83 million, a mere two months after listing it on the market.
Originally acquired in 2014 for $1.625 million, shortly after his trade from the Cavaliers to the Timberwolves, this two-story house is situated near Cedar Lake in southwest Minneapolis.
During his time in the residence, Wiggins made some notable alterations, enhancing the exterior with eye-catching wood shingles and tapered columns. The interior living spaces, similar to other homes in the area, showcase an abundance of lumber alongside tile and stone finishes.
Beyond the covered front porch, the house reveals a cozy living room featuring a fireplace, a family room complete with a wet bar, a kitchen with booth seating, and a formal dining room.
Spanning 6,330 square feet, the property includes five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and two offices. The master suite, characterized by darker tones, boasts a dual-sided fireplace that separates the bedroom from the bathroom.
The floor plan offers additional amenities such as a den, a soundproof music room, and a gym equipped with a basketball hoop. A covered patio extends from the back of the house, leading to a swimming pool, spa, and fenced lawn. The property occupies approximately 0.4 acres.
Wiggins, who gained recognition as the Naismith Prep Player of the Year and Gatorade National Player of the Year in high school, spent a year at Kansas before being selected as the number one overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Throughout his five seasons with the Timberwolves, he has maintained an average of 19.4 points per game.
According to the Multiple Listing Service, Wiggins initially listed the home for $1.995 million in July.
Kent Pitlick of Downtown Resource Group handled the listing, while Lynne O’Reilly of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage represented the buyer.
