Jimmy Butler said goodbye to Heat teammates Gabe Vincent and Max Struss

MANILA, Philippines (AP) –Gabe Vincent and Max Strus found new homes during the NBA Free Agency period, but not before receiving an homage from Miami star Jimmy Butler.

Butler, who led the Heat to an unlikely playoff run in 2023, took the time to say farewell to both players as they found new jobs away from Miami.

Butler captioned images of Vincent and Strus with “peace out” during the playoff run that saw an eighth-seeded team make it all the way to the league finalè.

Vincent will be playing alongside Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis after signing a three-year, $33 million contract with this year’s Western Conference finalist.

Strus, meanwhile, inked a four-year, $63 million contract in a sign-and-trade deal from Miami to Cleveland.

Both sharp shooting guards emerged as one of vital players during the 2023 Playoffs when the Heat had to endure the injuries of guards Victor Oladipo and Tyler Herro.

Strus and Vincent helped Butler on the offensive end this season with averages of 11.5 and 9.4 points per game.
