Kobe Bryant’s former home in Irvine, California is back on the market for $2.6 million, less than six months after it was first sold. The three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom house was originally purchased by the late Lakers legend and his wife, Vanessa Bryant, in 2013 for $1.3 million.
Following Kobe’s untimely death, Vanessa listed the home for $1.995 million on October 27, 2020. Just two days later, someone bought the home for $2 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. However, the new owner has since made considerable renovations to the property.
The listing describes the home as a “completely remodeled single-story gem.” Situated in the exclusive guard-gated community called The Summit at Turtle Ridge, the house spans 2,400 square feet and has undergone nearly $200,000 worth of renovations.
The renovations include transforming the mostly traditional wood cabinets and paneling into a modern white contemporary vibe. The estate now features a gourmet kitchen with an oversized marble island, custom backsplash, professional-grade appliances, and a cozy breakfast nook.
The outdoor space of the home offers a Zen experience, with a meticulously landscaped backyard, a lush garden, a Jacuzzi, a built-in barbecue, and a bar with plenty of space for dining. The master suite, described as akin to a “posh hotel,” includes views of the lush garden and features an elegant custom dual-vanity bathroom, an expanded shower, a soaking tub, and a spacious walk-in closet.
While Vanessa has sold this investment home she initially bought with Kobe, she still resides in the five-bedroom, six-bathroom Newport Coast estate located just a few miles away with their three children, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
