Marcus Rashford, the footballer known for his campaigning efforts, appears to have purchased five luxury homes worth at least £2 million. He has invested an estimated £1.5 million in three houses in a new estate in Wilmslow, Cheshire, as well as a house and a flat in Macclesfield. All five properties have Coutts mortgages and are believed to be intended as buy-to-let investments.

The purchase details were revealed in documents published by Rashford’s property investment firm, MUCS Properties. Earlier this month, it was reported that Rashford had also purchased a golf course in Cheshire, where he intended to build a more private home.

The houses in Wilmslow are part of a development in which properties start at £500,000. The three-bedroom semi-detached house in Macclesfield is worth around £325,000. Rashford is thought to be renting out the Macclesfield property.

Rashford has also been granted permission to trademark his name in the United States, allowing him to sell name-branded goods such as clothing, sportswear, books, grooming products, and games. He has also joined Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management team to help him with his off-field branding and philanthropic efforts.

Rashford, who grew up on a council estate in Wythenshawe, Manchester, gained international attention for his campaign for free school meals. Boris Johnson recently made a second U-turn on Rashford’s request to extend free meals for children to all holidays and benefit households during the winter, which would benefit an additional 1.7 million children.
