According to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool and Southampton could work out a deal to capture Roméo Lavia using a “creative formula.”
A year after being acquired by Southampton from Manchester City, Lavia is estimated to be worth roughly $64 million (£50 million/€58 million). However, there is a potential that price might be reduced by integrating other players in the deal.
Some players, like Nat Phillips, could leave Liverpool permanently, and others, like Tyler Morton, who spent last season on loan at Blackburn, might leave again.
Lavia’s age and one season of experience in professional football make it unlikely that the full $64 million will be spent on him, but Southampton won’t want to lose him for a bargain considering that Manchester City has a $51 million (£40 million/€47 million) buy-back clause that goes into force next summer.
Liverpool may need to reach a compromise if it truly wants the player.
Luiz Henrique ‘Eyed’
According to El Nacional (translated by F365), Liverpool is mulling a bid to capture Real Betis forward Luiz Henrique this summer. The 22-year-old Brazilian scored seven goals and provided three assists in his rookie season, immediately winning over the support of the crowd.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, AS Roma, AC Milan, and Chelsea are reportedly interested in him as a result of his performances, although Liverpool is reportedly “at the front of the queue” for a transfer.
According to reports, Jürgen Klopp “sees a remarkable margin of progression” in the young forward and plans to use him to lessen Mohamed Salah’s workload at Anfield.
This summer, Real Betis aims to make a few moves in the transfer market but does not have a lot of money to work with.
The La Liga team is reportedly willing to sell for between $33 million (£26 million/€30 million) and $43 million (£34 million/€40 million), indicating that a sale may make that possible.
