Four-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi has admitted his life has changed since the birth of his son Thiago.

The Barcelona attacker’s partner Antonella Roccuzzo gave birth in November and Messi says he has adapted his behaviour since then.

‘My life has changed since Thiago arrived. I’m not the same man anymore,’ he told France Football.

‘When you have a child you just don’t think the same way anymore.’

Messi continued: ‘I wake up in the middle of the night just to see Antonella breastfeed him.

‘I bottle feed him… I behave like a normal dad who loves his son’.

Messi said the baby was the same as any other, adding: ‘he sleeps, he eats, he’s very quiet, just like his dad!’

Leo Messi bared all in an interview with FourFourTwo.

His style of play: “There are people who suggest that my way of playing football is innate. I do not know if this is the case, but it is true that I have a gambler’s instinct. On the pitch I’m always looking to make the best move or the best decision, while trying not to do what the opponent expects me to do. When I feel the grass under my feet, I feel safe. I use the huge pressure to be better because pressure helps me to develop my skills.”

Going to training: “I go to training by car every day. I try to be calm and think about my things. We all arrive in the Training Centre one hour before the session. I drink mate with some mates or go for a walk on the training ground.”

The Playstation king: “I like to stay home with my family and watch TV. I also play FIFA. I’m the best when playing with my friends.”

The Barça fans: “People are very polite towards me. They ask me for photos and autographs, but I can go for a walk without any problems. I do not suffer intrusion in my private life by the media in Barcelona.”

His son: “Thiago is the most important thing in my life, the best thing that has ever happened to me. My life has changed massively since his birth. Antonella has told me that he recognises me when I’m on the TV, which is nice”, added Messi.
