Kobe Bryant’s former residence in Irvine, California has returned to the market with a price tag of $2.6 million, less than six months after its initial sale. The three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom house was originally acquired by the late Lakers legend and his wife, Vanessa Bryant, in 2013 for $1.3 million.
Following Kobe’s tragic passing, Vanessa listed the property for $1.995 million on October 27, 2020. Surprisingly, just two days later, the house was purchased for $2 million, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. However, the new owner has since made substantial renovations to the home.
The listing now describes the house as a “completely remodeled single-story gem.” It is located in the esteemed guard-gated community known as The Summit at Turtle Ridge. Spanning 2,400 square feet, the residence has undergone renovations worth nearly $200,000.
The renovations primarily involved a transformation from traditional wood cabinets and paneling to a modern white contemporary style. The estate boasts a gourmet kitchen with a spacious marble island, custom backsplash, high-end appliances, and a cozy breakfast nook.
The outdoor space of the home offers a tranquil Zen experience, featuring a meticulously landscaped backyard, lush garden, Jacuzzi, built-in barbecue, and a bar area with ample dining space. The master suite, described as reminiscent of a luxurious hotel, provides views of the lush garden. It includes an elegant custom dual-vanity bathroom, an expanded shower, a soaking tub, and a generously-sized walk-in closet.
Although Vanessa has sold this investment property that she initially purchased with Kobe, she still resides in the nearby Newport Coast estate, which boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms. She shares this home with their three children, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
