Man Utd strongest possible XI v Leeds pre-season: Mount debuts, Bruno alongside Casemiro, No Rashford

Manchester United is getting ready for its first preseason game against Leeds United later this week.

Only a week has passed since players returned to Carrington for preseason, but preparations for the first summer match have already begun.

The match between Manchester United and Leeds will begin on Wednesday at 4 p.m. UK time in Oslo, Norway.

Manchester United will compete in eight preseason games, with under-21 players likely to be mixed in.

One-half of the team is available

All of the players that participated in the international friendlies in June are still not present for Manchester United’s first team due to extended vacations.

They will start coming back later this week, but without any time on the Carrington practice field, it’s uncertain which ones will make it in time to play in Oslo.

A talented collection of players is still available for Erik ten Hag to choose from. As he did in the winter friendlies against Cadiz and Real Betis, he is likely to start with a strong lineup and then switch to younger players in the second half.

Ten Hag still has access to a number of well-known figures in the group, despite some well-known players missing international matches in June due to illness or national team retirement.

Potential starting XI

Manchester United must find a goalkeeper because David de Geas’ departure left the team without a starter.

Although Dean Henderson is officially United’s greatest goalkeeper, it would be unexpected if he participated in this match given that he is reportedly moving to Nottingham Forest.

Tom Heaton will likely start this game, and he will be happy to see two World Cup champions in front of him.

again a fit Both Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are available. Erik ten Hag will benefit greatly from having his first choice defensive partnership available right away.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who will play right-back, will also be a pillar of his defense.

Against Leeds, the left-back spot is up for grabs. Along with Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are still absent.

In an effort to restart his career, Brandon Williams is most likely to get the start. Alvaro Fernandez, who is expected to play in the second half, would likely thrill more supporters.

With so many regulars absent, Manchester United’s midfield will also adopt a very improvised strategy.

Even though both Fred and Donny van de Beek have been linked to moves away from Old Trafford, they could start this friendly. Before Ten Hag offers some young players playing time in the second half, they have the chance to get their faces in the store window now.

Mason Mount, United’s new number seven, will be the center of attention as he injects some energy into the middle of the field.

Kobbie Mainoo and Amad might both appear in the second half. In addition to Marc Jurado and Rhs Bennett, Isak Hansen-Aaroen, Shola Shoretire, Hannibal, and Charlie Savage will compete for playing time.

Erik ten Hag can count on three experienced players in the attack who all have important things to prove.

In Norway, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, and Antony are anticipated to head the line and strive to kick off their respective seasons successfully.
