Arsenal now set for talks over renew contract with the best Captian at the Emirates

Arsenal is now preparing for talks with midfielder Martin Odegaard regarding his long-term future at the Emirates Stadium. Odegaard, who signed for Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2021 for a fee of £30m, currently has a contract with the club until 2025. However, Arsenal has been prioritizing securing players to long-term deals, with recent contract extensions for Reiss Nelson, William Saliba, and Bukayo Saka.

Odegaard himself has expressed his happiness at Arsenal and his desire to stay for a long time. While there is no rush to finalize a new contract, both the club and Odegaard see him as a key part of the team, and talks about a potential extension are expected to take place.

In terms of Arsenal’s plans, completing deals for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber is currently the priority. They are also open to offloading some players while still looking for reinforcements in midfield and possibly a forward to provide competition for Bukayo Saka. Moussa Diaby, a winger from Bayer Leverkusen, has been of interest to Arsenal in the past and could be a target this summer.

After finishing below expectations in the Premier League last season, Arsenal will be aiming to strengthen the squad to compete with top teams like Manchester City.
