Mátinez will arrive in Manchester after excelling at Ajax under Erik Ten Hag.

Fans of the United States were worried about the opponent’s short stature, who was just 5 feet 9 inches tall. Mátinez wins the majority of his competitive games in the European League despite this.

Mátinez is anticipated to make £120,000 per week, which would place him on par with Fed and Victor Lindelof at Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot makes worrying admission about teammates after Newcastle defeat

Diogo Dalot acknowledged Newcastle “it more” than Manchester United following the Reds’ defeat on Sunday.

United struggled to ʙᴇᴀᴛ Fulham before the break, therefore it was believed that the two-week break would allow the team to refocus. Newcastle, though, performed considerably better right away and generated lots of opportunities.

The Magpies were wasteful in the first half, as David de Gea made several crucial saves to keep the score level. But, Joe Willock’s close-range header put the game beyond reach in the 65th minute.

The hosts were able to win with just a few minutes remaining due to a goal from Callum Wilson. Erik ten Hag made multiple substitutions in an effort to get his team back into the game.

Dalot, who again battled Allan Saint-Maximin throughout the game, said something alarming in his postgame analysis of the defeat: “Newcastle’s players were more resolute, especially in duels.”

We were disappointed to come here and not be able to carry out our plans, Dalot told MUTV. Even after that, we attempted to play, but we might have been more patient. We tried to find spaces and knew they would press hard.

“Especially in the last third, we could have been a little bit more patient with the ball to find the spaces, to create more chances. We have to show desire, ʙᴇᴀᴛ them in desire and ʙᴇᴀᴛ them in every challenge we have.

“I think they ᴡᴀɴᴛᴇᴅ that a little bit more than us today and that can not happen. If we want to ꜰɪɢʜᴛ for more, want to compete for the Premier League, we have to be more consistent, come here and dominate the game.

“We knew they were going to be intense and press high, but we have to ʙᴇᴀᴛ it and be more consistent.”
