‘We’re together’ – Jimmy Butler reveals the story behind his meaningful pink shoes

In the stress and busyness of the NBA Playoffs series, Jimmy Butler still took some time to send emotional support to the family of former Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Tyus Jones.

Jimmy Butler made his mark in the Philadelphia 76ers’ 116-95 win over the Toronto Raptors at Game 3, the NBA eastern Playoffs series this past Friday. Outstanding at both ends of the field, the striker wearing the number 23 shirt nearly achieved a triple-double with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals.

On a sublime day for the Sixers, at Jimmy Butler’s feet were a pair of dazzling pink Air Jordan 32 Lows. Sometimes NBA players still like to wear unique color schemes to show their personality, but these pink Jimmy shoes have a very special meaning.

Message from Jimmy Butler: “Mama Jones, we will fight together”

On Jimmy Butler’s shoes is a message and its meaning is emotional support for Mrs. Debbie, the mother of Butler’s former Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Tyus Jones.

In a recent share of Tyus on social networks, he informed his fans that his beloved mother has been diagnosed with malignant breast cancer. This is what makes many people feel sad, including his best friend Jimmy Butler.

To support Debbie and Tyus Jones’ family, Butler rummaged through her shoe closet and found this “Hot Pink” Air Jordan 32 Low. In the US, pink is often chosen to symbolize campaigns to prevent breast cancer, enough to see how well Jimmy Butler has calculated for this shoe choice.

Recognizing Jimmy Butler’s actions, Tyus Jones on behalf of the family and mother Debbie shared her thanks via the social network Instagram:

Many players today are often caught up in the busyness of the NBA Playoffs. In the most intense arena of the season, it is not easy to see meaningful action like what Jimmy did for the Jones family. Although this is just a very simple operation, the impact Butler brings with this particular shoe is immense.

In the next appearance, Jimmy Butler and his teammates will enter Game 4 with the Toronto Raptors in a match on Monday morning, May 6. The series score is currently 2-1 with the lead in favor of the Philadelphia 76ers.
