Liverpool target hold ‘private talks’ after dropping Liverpool hint

Despite appearing to rule out the chance of joining Liverpool, Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni is considering moving.

The French midfielder cost £68 million to go from Monaco to the LaLiga giants a year ago, and he has since made 50 appearances across all competitions. He was, however, benched for key crucial contests, such as both legs of the matchup with Manchester City in the Champions League semifinal.

And this summer, both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric received contract extensions at the Bernabeu, further aggravating Carlo Ancelotti’s predilection for the seasoned pair. These circumstances stoked rumors that Tchouameni, whose reputation in European football is still high, would be on the verge of a move to Anfield.

But after liking a tweet on Twitter, the 23-year-old gave a clear indication that would not be the case. The tweet said in English: “Tchouameni is not for sale. Are you familiar with Liverpool?

However, the Bundesliga has recently become a viable option. Bayern Munich is reportedly keeping tabs on the guy who broke English hearts in Qatar by scoring the first goal in France’s 2-1 quarterfinal victory. If Real is unable to assure him of a consistent starting position, he is prepared to look for a transfer.

Even though Bayern Munich won the championship again last season, new manager Thomas Tuchel is determined to add reinforcements amid a patchy campaign. Harry Kane, a striker for Tottenham, is another target for the club, who has already had a £70 million proposal rejected.

Additionally, Bayern completed the acquisition of Kim Min-jae from Napoli on Tuesday. The South Korean, who was signed to a five-year contract, cost £43 million, setting a record for an Asian player.

However, the success of any potential bid for Tchouameni may still be based on what happens with Ryan Gravenberch. The former Ajax player, who had previously expressed his respect for the team and Jurgen Klopp, was himself linked with a move to Liverpool this summer.

The 21-year-old last month expressed a willingness to compete for his position, but also appeared to pledge his future to the German champions: “I am at a top three club in the world. I find that to be lovely and unique,” he remarked. “I won’t just give up like that. I still want to do well at Bayern.
