Denver Nuggets Reportedly Recruit Two Players

The Denver Nuggets will sign Andrew Funk and Armaan Franklin for training camp, according to Mike Singer of the Denver Post.

Teams around the NBA will sign players to deals in the offseason that will result in them joining the team for training camp and playing in the G League during the regular season.

According to Mike Singer of the Denver Post (via Hoops Rumors), the Denver Nuggets will sign Andrew Funk and Armaan Franklin for training camp on Tuesday.

Franklin and Funk both appeared in NBA Summer League for the Nuggets.

Funk played college basketball for four years (four for Bucknell and one for Penn State).

In 37 games last season, he averaged 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists while shooting 44.4% from the field and 41.2% from three-point range.

He significantly improved as a three-point shooter, since this was his only season shooting above 36.3% from deep.

Meanwhile, Franklin played two seasons for Indiana and two seasons for Virginia.

In 33 games last season, he averaged 12.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 42.4% from the field and 37.3% from three-point range.

With a 53-29 record, the Nuggets were the first seed in the Western Conference.

They won the 2023 NBA Championship after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers, and Miami Heat.
