LeBron James surprises the Puerto Rico league audience with an unexpected arrival

LeBron James has been keeping himself busy throughout the summer. During his award acceptance speech at the ESPYs last week, the Los Angeles Lakers great confirmed his intention to play for at least another year. This time, the NBA’s all-time top scorer has traveled to South America to see the BSN league’s Finals game in Puerto Rico.

The capacity crowd was stunned when LeBron made an unexpected appearance in the match between Gigantes de Carolina and Vaqueros de Bayamon:

It’s unclear why LeBron was there during the game. Then again, the Lakers’ talisman doesn’t need an explanation for everything he does. Maybe he was merely curious to see who would win the championship between these two opposing clubs.

The supporters in the building, on the other hand, couldn’t care less about James’ motivation. They were already excited to see two of the top teams in the country compete in a winner-take-all match. Seeing LeBron James – for most of the fans in attendance, it was their first time seeing him — was a huge treat.

James chose an excellent moment to attend a BSN game. The two competing teams refused to concede an inch as the game went into overtime to determine a winner. Gigantes de Carolina emerged victorious with a hard-fought 89-85 triumph. After scoring a game-high 35 points, eight rebounds, and six three-pointers, American James Scott must have caught LeBron’s attention. That performance had to have impressed James.
