After destroying the MLS All-Stars 5-0 in Washington DC, Arsenal players explore the US Capitol building the next day

Before traveling north to face Manchester United in New Jersey, Arsenal players made one more stop in Washington D.C.

On Thursday, the squad took part in a guided tour of the US Capitol, with pictures showing the players passing through the revered halls of Congress.

As part of the experience, players were equipped with audio equipment so they could learn more about the more than 200 year old structure.

The tour also took them through the famous Capitol Rotunda in the middle of the buildingthe tour included a visit to the well-known Capitol Rotunda in the center of the structure

The Gunners accomplished this immediately following their crushing 5-0 defeat against the best of MLS in the 2023 MLS All-Star Game.

In a game that both teams appeared to take seriously, Arsenal struck early and frequently, managing 16 shots and converting all five of those that were on target.

New signings Jurrien Timber, Kai Havertz, and Declan Rice also made their debuts, with Havertz scoring the game’s last goal.

The MLS All-Star team, led by Wayne Rooney, had a dismal performance; he was given the honor because his team was the one hosting the event.

Of the 26 players on the roster, Rooney personally selected 12, Don Garber selected two, while the rest 12 were elected.

Gabriel Jesus’ exquisite goal in the fifth minute of play gave Arsenal the impression that they were by far the superior team for the entirety of the game.

Leandro Trossard, a Frenchman who will play for Arsenal for the first time this season, scored a comparable goal with a rocket into the top left corner.

Havertz improved in the cross-and-volley task the day after significantly underperforming in the All-Star Skills task. Havertz was able to control his effort and volley it off his chest after failing to score in that challenge.

On Saturday, Arsenal will play Manchester United at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

After that game, Arsenal heads to Los Angeles for their last preseason exhibition game against Barcelona.
