Despite interest from three Italian clubs, Liverpool’s potential transfer target now prefers a move to the Premier League this summer, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.
The Reds have moved quickly in the transfer window, but their work is far from over.
The first two players to arrive at Anfield this summer were Alexis MacAllister and Domink Szoboszlai.
With several midfielders departing earlier this season, Jurgen Klopp needed to bolster the middle of the park.
Following last season’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, Klopp will be aware that the Merseyside club must improve next season, and reinforcements will be required.
If outgoings in Liverpool’s midfield continue, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano recently told GIVEMESPORT that the Reds could try to sign Romeo Lavia this summer.
The lack of Champions League football hasn’t stopped the likes of Mac Allister and Szoboszlai from securing targets, and Liverpool fans will be hopeful that they can continue to do so without competing in Europe’s finest club competition.
The club’s history and size definitely make it an appealing proposition for players.
Galetti has now talked about several midfield prospects for Liverpool this summer, with one player in particular interested in moving to England.
What did Galetti have to say about Liverpool?
Galetti claims that Liverpool is interested in Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch this summer.
According to the writer, despite interest from several Italian clubs, the Dutchman, termed ‘dominant’ by one of his previous junior coaches Brian Tevreden, wants to play in the Premier League next season.
“Gravenberch could leave Bayern Munich on a personal transfer this summer, and he prefers a move to the Premier League, despite interest from Italian clubs,” he told GIVEMESPORT.
“The Nerazzurri explored negotiations for the Dutch player during the talks between Inter and Bayern for Yann Sommer, but they consider him too expensive.” Juventus and AC Milan were interested in him, and Napoli is now interested, but the youngster has stated that he wants to play in England.
“Right now, Liverpool has the midfielder on their radar, along with Romeo Lavia and Khephren Thuram.”
