Despite interest from three Italian clubs, Liverpool’s potential transfer target would now prefer a move to the Premier League this summer, according to writer Rudy Galetti.
The Reds moved quickly in the transfer window, but their business isn’t expected to end there.
Alexis MacAllister and Domink Szoboszlai were the first two players to arrive at Anfield this summer.
With several midfielders departing earlier this season, Jurgen Klopp needed to bolster the midfield.
After failing to qualify for the Champions League last season, Klopp will be aware that the Merseyside club must improve next season, and reinforcements will be required.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Reds could sign Romeo Lavia this summer if outgoings in Liverpool’s midfield continue.
The lack of Champions League football hasn’t deterred the likes of Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, and Liverpool fans will be hoping that they can continue to secure targets without competing in Europe’s best club competition.
The club’s history and size definitely make it an appealing proposition for new players.
Galetti has already mentioned potential midfield prospects for Liverpool this summer, with one player in particular interested in moving to England.
What has Galetti said about Liverpool?
According to Galetti, Liverpool is interested in Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch this summer.
According to the writer, despite interest from various Italian clubs, the Dutchman, termed ‘dominant’ by one of his previous junior coaches Brian Tevreden, wants to play in the Premier League next season.
“Gravenberch could leave Bayern Munich on a personal transfer this summer,” he told GIVEMESPORT, adding that despite interest from Italian clubs, he favors a move to the Premier League.
“During the talks between Inter and Bayern for Yann Sommer, the Nerazzurri explored negotiations for the Dutch player, but he is too expensive for them.” Juventus and AC Milan were after him, and Napoli is currently after him, but the youngster has stated that he wants to play in England.
“At the moment, Liverpool has the midfielder on their radar, along with Romeo Lavia and Khephren Thuram.”
