Footage has emerged of fans fighting each other in the stands during Man United vs Arsenal friendly match

Video of fans fighting in the stands during Manchester United’s victory over Arsenal in a preseason friendly has surfaced.

Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho scored for United in a 2-0 win against their Premier League rivals.

The outcome was followed by a penalty shootout, which the Red Devils also won 5-3 to give Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, something to think about.

The 82,500-seat MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where the game was played, was completely sold out.

However, there was further fighting in the seats when tempers between Martin Odegaard and Lisandro Martinez erupted on the field.

Brutal blows were thrown by fans who appeared to be wearing Arsenal shirts, and shocking video even shows one fan attempting to remove another’s shoe.

Others intervened and continued to throw blows as some people were left bleeding and others were left on the stadium steps.

Staff led those in charge out of their seats and, presumably, out of the ground after the outrage subsided.

All of this occurred as the match went on and live action of the game was shown on a screen in the movie.

The fight’s origin is unknown, however it appeared to involve some Arsenal supporters.

In terms of the on-field activity, the Gunners struggled against United as they fell behind twice in the first half.

Fernandes’ long-range goal, which started the scoring, may have left Aaron Ramsdale thinking he could have done better.

Gabriel Magalhaes made a mistake that allowed Sancho to rush through on goal and double the advantage.

In what was Arteta’s debut use of a midfield three with Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard, and Declan Rice, Arsenal was unable to respond.

After investing about £170m in Havertz and Rice, Arteta has great aspirations despite the fact that things haven’t clicked right away.

The Spaniard stated on the club website of Arsenal: “When they play 55 times together they will be better.

“It will flow better, they will understand each other better and will be more dominant and better.

“But it takes time to glide and we have to respect that.

“But I saw a lot of positive things, and things I like much more than the game we won the other day against the MLS even though the result is very different.”
