Arsenal news: The start of today’s exhibition match against Barcelona in Los Angeles has been postponed.
The preseason match between Arsenal and Barcelona in Los Angeles has been postponed for 36 minutes.
The Gunners were scheduled to play the La Liga winners in the final match of the American trip at 3:30 in the morning (UK time). But at 2:53 in the morning, social media verified that the SoFi Stadium’s kickoff had been “moved back” 36 minutes.
“Kickoff of tonight’s Arsenal Barca at SoFi Stadium has been pushed back to 8:06pm,” Barcelona tweeted.
The delay in the game has not been explained in detail. However, films have appeared online in response to worries over the Los Angeles playing field.
Almost soon after Barcelona announced their starting lineup for the match, the start time was postponed. Ilkay Gundogan, a former target of Arsenal, was selected to play alongside fellow newcomer Oriol Romeu in Xavi’s midfield. Raphinha, who was said to be moving to north London last summer, has a spot as well.
The 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup final between Mexico and Panama took place 10 days ago at the SoFi Stadium, home of Stan Kroenke’s Los Angeles Rams.
However, over the weekend, the stadium played host to a concert by American country music performer Morgan Wallen.
