ETH requests Man United to ‘offload’ 6 ‘superfluous’ players in summer

Erik ten Hag has instructed the Manchester United administration to manage the team’s roster with more ruthlessness in preparation for the summer transfer window, allowing the team to sell at least six first-team players.

In the last ten years, Manchester United has had a famously difficult time offloading players because they either had contracts that were about to expire or were simply not talented enough to play consistently.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Ten Hag is trying to change this attitude by suggesting that Dean Henderson, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams, Alex Telles, Anthony Martial, and Eric Bailly all be traded away.

With Sevilla, Marseille, and Nottingham Forest, respectively, Telles, Bailly, and Henderson are all now on loans. In order for Marseille to be required to extend Bailly’s loan, he must reach a threshold of appearances.

While Maguire and Williams are clamoring for more playing time, Ten Hag has grown increasingly dissatisfied with Martial’s limited availability due to the Frenchman’s bad injury record. Maguire, the Manchester United captain who joined the team four years ago for £80m, would probably want a high transfer fee.

Although Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are above him in the center-back pecking order, Maguire has only appeared in six Premier League games this season and is no longer favored by the boss.

Jadon Sancho will also need to start producing better work if he wants to stay in Ten Hag’s team, according to MEN, and despite interest from Newcastle United, Scott McTominay isn’t set to leave.

It seems doubtful that Manchester United would give up on Sancho at the age of 23, especially after spending a significant amount of money to sign him two summers ago. Sancho may go on to have a very successful career.

For more time with the first team, it is anticipated that Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri will also be sent out on season-long loans.

In addition to helping Manchester United keep under the Financial Fair Play guidelines, all of these departures would help make room in the team for the upcoming season. The Red Devils have a limited pool of potential targets after spending more than £200m on players last summer.

Erik ten Hag sends warning to under-performing Manchester United stars

If his underwhelming Manchester United stars don’t demonstrate to him that they have the drive to succeed, Erik ten Hag has told them that “they are in the wrong position.”

Sunday’s Ԁisastroᴜs 2-0 loss against Newcastle United caused United to drop out of the top four, and as a result, Newcastle United rose to third place.

As the competition for Champions League qualifying heats up, both clubs, along with fourth-place Tottenham, are deadlocked on 50 points.

Since February, Ten Hag’s team has gone without a victory in the Premier League. During that time, they have continued to play well in the FA Cup and Europa League, but they have not been able to preserve their position in the top four.

If they defeat Brentford on Wednesday night, they will reclaim third place, but ten Hag has warned that his team has fallen short of his standards lately and that those who don’t step up will ris𝗸 losing their jobs at the club in the summer.

Of course you have to meet certain requirements, replied ten Hag.

“You must meet certain requirements, and I am aware that during a season, there will be changes in your performance. Yet, you must understand why you are in the situation you are in and how we got here.

“I missed Sunday because it was all about tenacity, passion, and ambition. They are in the wrong place if they are unable to obtain it.

“You get murdered when you play against a powerful opponent who performs above their ability, as many teams do while playing Manchester United.” We carried it out on Sunday.

Casemiro will sit out the final two games of his four-match suspension against Brentford and Everton on Saturday, which will not aid United’s cause.

Christian Eriksen’s absence has also been felt; the Danish midfielder was sidelined in January with an ankle injury, but the arrival of Thomas Frank’s team will come too soon.

He’s returning to the field, but not until (Wednesday), according to ten Hag.

“We have to see how quickly he can now make the development,” the trainer said. “He’s returning to team training (on Tuesday).”
