Contacted by West Ham, MU offers a price for McTominay

West Ham are planning to strengthen the midfield and they have turned their attention to MU midfielder Scott McTominay. According to the Telegraph, BLD MU prioritizes keeping McTominay, but they are also ready to let the tall Scottish player leave if they earn £45m.

McTominay is a mature player from the MU training camp. Since joining the first team in 2017, he has played 209 matches for the Red Devils in all competitions and scored 19 goals.

According to the foggy media, West Ham coach David Moyes highly appreciates McTominay’s ability. He thinks that if McTominay is recruited, the power of West Ham will increase significantly.

The problem with West Ham is that McTominay is being priced quite high by the BLD MU. In fact, coach Erik ten Hag prioritized keeping McTominay at Old Trafford, so MU also has a good reason to pressure teams that want to own midfielders with the number 39 shirt.

McTominay’s position is now very different from that of two other MU midfielders, Fred and Donny van de Beek. As the Dutch compatriot of coach Ten Hag, Van de Beek has just returned after being sidelined since January with a knee injury.

Unused at MU, Van de Beek has just confirmed he will probably leave Old Trafford this summer to save his career. Meanwhile, Fred currently only has 1 year left on his contract with MU. He did not go with the team to the US to tour this summer for personal reasons. According to the representative of the small Brazilian player, his client may change clubs before the new season starts.

Notably, if BLD MU hangs McTominay up to £45m, they are ready to let Fred go if they earn only £20m. There is news that Fred has been “in the sights” of Fulham, Galatasaray and a number of teams in Saudi Arabia.
