Liverpool’s pre-season preparations are nearing completion as the club prepares to face Leicester City and Bayern Munich in Singapore. There are, however, some noticeable absences from the 27-man group traveling to Asia.
Thiago will not be traveling to Singapore. After suffering a hip injury earlier this year in April, the Spanish playmaker is continuing his rehabilitation in Merseyside. While the 32-year-old Spaniard international’s absence from the field is sad, the club is prioritizing his recovery to ensure he returns to full health as soon as possible.
Stefan Bajcetic is another player that has left Liverpool. The 18-year-old star is also recovering from an abductor muscle tear and will be out for the time being. “After Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic are also absent from the 27-man squad.” They’re staying in Merseyside to recover from their injuries.”
Fabinho, like Thiago and Bajcetic, is not part of the traveling team. The Brazilian midfielder is presently expected to join Al Ittihad.
Captured squad for the final pre-season game
Fabinho’s future appears to be in Saudi Arabia, according to continuing negotiations. While his departure has yet to be formally confirmed, his exclusion from the squad hints that it is in the works.
Pre-season is an important period for players to get back into shape and improve on tactical aspects of their game. Providing sufficient care and recuperation time for injured players such as Thiago and Bajcetic will benefit the squad in the long run.
As Liverpool prepares to face Leicester and Bayern Munich in Singapore, some of the club’s younger players will have the chance to shine and impress the coaching staff. Pre-season games allow players to exhibit their abilities and press their claim for a starting berth later in the season.
