Ty Law, who played for the New England Patriots and won three Super Bowls, recently sold his Florida house for $1.89 million.
Kirk R. and Lisa A. Russell purchased the 5,500-square-foot house on Hawks Vista Street in Plantation, Florida. The cost was $343 for every square foot.
Barbara Shapiro of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate represented Law in the transaction.
The home, which was constructed in 2003 on a 26,016-square-foot lot, has six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. It is located in the affluent Hawks Landing neighbourhood of Broward County.
Both inside and out, this house is beautiful, Shapiro remarked. The Laws have loved spending time here, and it is full of lovely and peaceful entertaining spaces.
For $1.57 million, Law paid new for the house. It has a summer kitchen, marble floors, a home theater/game room, a pool with a rock waterfall, a chickee hut with built-in couches, an outdoor bar and Savant smart home technology.
Before retiring after the 2009 season, cornerback Law played for the New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, and Denver Broncos in addition to the Patriots from 1995 to 2004. Law was selected to the All-Pro team twice and made the Pro Bowl five times. He is perhaps best known in New England for picking off a pass and returning it for a score while the Patriots were winning against the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI.
