Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo made history with a classy header in Al Nassr’s 4-1 win over US Monastir at King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh on August 1.

After consecutively disappointing in Al-Nassr’s defeats in the friendly series at the beginning of the season, Ronaldo finally ended his thirst for goals with a classy header in the 74th minute in a jubilant victory. 4-1 of the home team against US Monastir on Tuesday morning in the Arab Club Cup.

The 839th career goal helped the 38-year-old extend his scoring record for the 22nd consecutive season. In addition, it was also the 145th goal from Ronaldo’s headers, thereby helping the Portuguese captain surpass the record of 144 goals set by German football legend, Gerd Muller.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January 2023 after terminating his contract with MU. He scored 15 goals for the team playing in the Saudi Pro League. This is also the 5th club in Ronaldo’s professional career.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner began his club career in 2002 with Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon, in a 3-0 win over Moreirense. He scored his first professional goal against Braga. Since then, Ronaldo has played for Manchester United (2003-2009), Real Madrid (2009-2018), Juventus (2018–2021), Manchester United (2021-2022), and now Al-Nassr (from 2023).

In more than 900 appearances for clubs since his debut in 2002, Ronaldo has scored more than 700 goals. He is also the top international goalscorer for Portugal. The 38-year-old has won many prestigious championships throughout his career, including 5 Champions League titles, 3 Premier League titles, 2 La Liga and 1 Serie A.
