The former Liverpool star will become new teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in a deal worth £35m, the same price the Merseyside team sold him to Bayern Munich in 2022.

Mane becomes Al-Nassr’s newest recruit in a busy transfer window for the Saudi side, having brought in midfielder Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan, Manchester United left-back Alex Telles as well as Seko Fofana from Lens.

Previously, Al-Nassr recruited Cristiano Ronaldo, Talisca, and David Osipina. Mane became the latest rookie to land at Al-Nassr. Last summer, Mane joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool.

The Senegal star only joined Bayern a year ago but has struggled to make an impact in his first season in the Bundesliga after moving from Liverpool. Mane’s future was further questioned at the end of last season after he was suspended by Bayern for hitting teammate Leroy Sane. Contrary to expectations, the 31-year-old striker played erratically. The former Liverpool star contributed only 12 goals.

According to the Daily Mail, Mane will receive a handsome salary at Al-Nassr with a figure of £ 650,000/week, £ 34 million/year. The Senegalese star won many noble titles after 6 years with Liverpool.

Mane left a bold mark on The Kop’s journey to winning the Champions League and Premier League. Mane combined with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah to form the famous attacking trio of the Anfield team.

Mane has been linked with a possible return to the Premier League but has become the latest big-name player to arrive in the Middle East. Mane has admitted in an interview with Sky Sports Germany that he has been ‘hurt’ after leaving Bayern.

“Leaving Bayern broke my heart. I wished for a different ending. I know that I could have helped the team this season. I want to prove it to everyone this season. However, I just wish the club and fans all the best for the future,” Mane said.

Meanwhile, Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel said that Mane “did not meet expectations” after his time at the club.
