According to Fabrizio Romano, striker Rasmus Hojlund has completed the medical examination procedures to officially become a Man United player today.
Specifically, there are images provided that show Rasmus Hojlund at Carrington headquarters.
Man United are keen to strengthen their attack this summer because they relied heavily on Marcus Rashford last season. After giving up expensive deals Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen, the Red Devils identified Rasmus Hojlund as a priority target.
The Atalanta forward will become Erik ten Hag’s third signing this summer of 2023 after the two clubs agreed with a deal worth €75m plus €10m in add-ons.
Hojlund joined Atalanta last summer and was somewhat impressed. This player makes many people think of the image of Erling Haaland.
Hojlund is considered agile and intelligent. This player is strong in his ability to hold the ball during transitions. Young talent also possesses killer instincts in the forbidden zone.
Man Utd was forced to add Hojlund in the context of a lack of quality 9 in the attack. Anthony Martial could not meet the requirements due to frequent injuries.
Personal terms have also been agreed with the Denmark international, whereby Hojlund will sign a five-year contract at Old Trafford with the option of a further one-year extension. Hojlund’s wish has always been to move to Old Trafford.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said: “Rasmus Hojlund has just completed all the medical tests, as a first procedure to become a Man United player.
Hojlund and his agents have now left Carrington as the contract will be signed today.”
Hojlund made his debut for Denmark in September last year and scored six goals in six games for the national team. At club level, he scored nine goals and provided four assists in 32 Serie A games for Atalanta last season.
