Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo signs with Jordan Brand

Another prominent NBA player has joined Jordan Brand’s roster of ambassadors.

The Miami Heat’s All-Star center Bam Adebayo is officially a part of the Jordan Brand family, according to the namesake company of NBA legend Michael Jordan.

“Even merely on the basis of the fact that everyone is aware of who MJ is and what he has accomplished for the game of basketball, it hasn’t quite set in yet, but it will do so soon. I stop to really appreciate everything when I can say that I’m a part of the brand. Adebayo expressed his excitement for the event in a Jordan Brand Q&A.

The 26-year-old baller got selected to his first NBA All-Star team in 2020 after joining the league in 2017. The Heat’s 2019–20 playoff run, which saw the group return to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014, was greatly aided by Adebayo.

“My goal is to revisit the Finals and get a different result. My team is currently concentrating on getting healthy. We’re battling to return, said Adebayo.

The baller is averaging 19.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game so far this season.

Adebayo will be joining a distinguished group of brand ambassadors, some of whom have recently come from the NBA. Obi Toppin, a rookie with the New York Knicks, was added to the Jordan Brand roster this month. In December 2020, Caris LeVert of the Indiana Pacers and Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards will join the organization.

“[The Jumpman] signifies MJ’s reputation as a great basketball player, to the extent that a Jumpman is now present on the jerseys of teams he played against. It demonstrates his contributions to basketball and his legacy. I get to symbolize that grandeur, so it’s amazing to be a part of that. For the people that look up to me, seeing me in Jordans means a lot,” Adebayo remarked.
