According to expert journalist Fabrizio Romano, the PSG club continues to bolster its ranks by agreeing to sign forward Goncalo Ramos from Benfica, after the forthcoming deal to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona.
“The movements of PSG in the transfer market, such as the contract with Ousmane Dembele and the impending arrival of Goncalo Ramos, show that the Parisian team is ready to finalize the future of striker Kylian Mbappe (possibility of going to Real Madrid) Madrid,” wrote Marca (Spain) newspaper.
“PSG has completed the acquisition of Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos.” Agreements have been made, and final details are being worked out. This week, the transaction will be completed. PSG receives a transfer fee for Goncalo Ramos. “I completed a package transfer of 80 million euros, including surcharges, and signed a contract until June 2028,” Fabrizio Romano tweeted.
Goncalo Ramos joined PSG last week, as did Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona, who had just returned from a tour in the United States. Ousmane Dembele joined PSG for a cost of merely 50 million euros after the Paris club exercised the termination provision in the player’s personal contract and negotiated directly with Barcelona rather than through La Liga (Spain).
“With two new stars on the attack line recently recruited, PSG no longer require Mbappe; the player refuses to renew his contract, preferring to play until the end of the 2023-2024 season and then leave for free.” This is exactly what you require. PSG leaders will not accept, and will push harder to sell this player as soon as possible in order to recoup the expenditures invested in Goncalo Ramos and Ousmane Dembele,” Marca daily reported.
Mbappe’s destination is becoming more near to Real Madrid, with PSG offering a transfer fee of 250 million euros. Real Madrid must surely bolster their assault after losing consecutively to Barcelona 0-3 and Juventus 1-3 on their US tour.
