Lionel Messi gets into furious argument in the tunnel with rival player & booked first Miami yellow card

During the Leagues Cup encounter between Inter Miami and Orlando City, Lionel Messi appeared to engage in a heated exchange with an opposing player.

Messi appeared to be exchanging words with one of the Orlando players as the two teams made their way down the tunnel at halftime.

The couple appeared to be arguing but were eventually separated by their colleagues.

It demonstrated that Messi, even at 36 years old, is not to be trifled with and retains the fire in his gut that has made him probably the greatest footballer of all time.

The first half concluded 1-1 when Messi scored in the sixth minute, followed by Cesar Araujo’s goal to tie the game.

And tensions were rising as Messi bulldozed over Araujo while battling for control.

Araujo appeared to retaliate by pursuing the World Cup winner and landing a late tackle on him after the ball was released.

Messi didn’t take kindly to the challenge and was waving in his face after the event, pleading with the referee to brandish a yellow card.

Now, footage of the scenes from the tunnel as the two teams returned to their dressing rooms has emerged, and it was, to put it mildly, disturbing.

Araujo and Messi can be seen exchanging words as their teammates cluster around them in the video.

Whatever was said appeared to be quite angry, despite the fact that neither player made the confrontation physical.

Fans appreciated the little Argentinian’s energy when the video went viral on social media.

Someone said on Twitter, “MESSI IS ABSOLUTELY ON SMOKE TIME.”

Another said, “We are witnessing the Netherlands Messi.”

“Messi is absolutely locked in,” remarked a third supporter. This is completely ridiculous.”

Another added, “Messi treating this like a World Cup final, I needed this.”

According to Guinness World Records, Messi’s previous goal in the game, a well-taken volley, made him the player with the most combined goals/assists in football history.
