After recruiting Mount, Onana and Hojlund, MU is targeting Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. And to have money for this deal, the Red Devils sold goalkeeper Nathan Bishop and made a list of 6 more people who needed to leave.
In the summer transfer window of 2023, MU parted ways with David De Gea, Anthony Elanga and Alex Telles. In the opposite direction, they brought in expensive signings like Mason Mount, Andre Onana and soon Rasmus Hojlund. Their transfer budget is now around 13 million pounds.
MU still want to bring in more Amrabat this summer but to comply with the FFP rules, they will have to remove some players. The Sun recently pointed out 6 faces who may have to leave Old Trafford for the rest of the season.
The first to leave was reserve goalkeeper Nathan Bishop. Just days after leaving Wrexham striker Paul Mullin hospitalized, he was sold to Sunderland by MU. The goalkeeper signed a three-year contract with the “Black Cats” and joined the Championship side for an undisclosed fee.
The next person to leave is midfielder Eric Bailly. The Ivory Coast player is currently being contacted by Al-Nassr. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Dean Henderson is also looking to sign a long-term contract with Nottingham after being loaned out last season.
In midfield, the duo Fred and Scott McTominay are also moving away. Fred is linked with Fulham and Galatasaray while McTominay is pursued by West Ham.
Brandon Williams and Donny van de Beek are also no longer part of Ten Hag’s plans. In particular, Van de Beek is being contacted by Real Sociedad and Williams is a top transfer target of Leeds.
