Man Utd’s decision for Mason Greenwood will create a big disturbance at Old Trafford.
Man Utd is about to have a verdict for Mason Greenwood. According to many sources, the future of the England international will become clear within the next 10 days. Greenwood has been suspended for more than a year. At the moment, no one has been able to determine whether the 21-year-old striker will be brought back to the first team.
Greenwood recently put on his shoes to practice but has not yet joined the team. In the case of allowing Greenwood to return to the main squad, the Red Devils will inadvertently affect 5 other players.
Jadon Sancho
Sancho has had an active pre-season, playing as a winger and drifting into the center as a virtual number 9. However, Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial are options for Erik Ten Hag’s striker role, while Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho seem to default to the left wing.

And when Greenwood returns, it is certainly more difficult for Amad to play. Perhaps Amad’s future is difficult to stick with the Reds once Greenwood finds the best ball feeling.
Pellistri
The same can be said for Facundo Pellistri. Also a right winger, Pellistri has shown flashes of brilliance in pre-season, but is expected to be on loan for the next few weeks.
The Uruguay international is said to be in talks over a contract extension, but Greenwood’s return could force the player to rethink. In terms of level, it is clear that Pellistri cannot compare with Greenwood.

With Hojlund and Martial being the most natural strikers Ten Hag can use to start the season, it looks like a great opportunity for the next version of Marcus Rashford of the academy team to come to light.
