According to the Mirror, Liverpool have reached a personal agreement with Romeo Lavia, now they will close the transfer price with Southampton.
Liverpool have brought in the central midfield duo of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, who are worthy replacements for Naby Keita, James Milner and Chamberlain. However, after captains Jordan Henderson and Fabinho went to Saudi Arabia, coach Klopp wanted to bring in another midfielder.
Romeo Lavia is the top target of the Red Brigade. The Belgian joined Southampton in a £14m deal from Man City last year, he quickly integrated and shone brightly.
Although Lavia played well, Southampton still had to be relegated. And after the ST Mary’s home team had to play in the English first division, the midfielder made a statement that he wanted to leave. Chelsea and Arsenal are also interested in Lavia, but Liverpool are ahead in this deal.
According to the Mirror, Liverpool have reached a personal agreement with Romeo Lavia. The Red Brigade convinced the club to move to Anfield on a five-year contract with an option to extend it for 12 months. It was Klopp himself who persuaded the player born in 2004 to come to Liverpool.
Now the Port City team will close the transfer price with Southampton. Transfer expert Michael Rincon revealed that Southampton only accepted to sell his star for £50m, before Liverpool’s offer of £37m was rejected.
