Report: Liverpool now given chance to sign Federico Chiesa for ‘cut-price’ deal, much less than Juventus previous asking price

According to Paisley Gates, Liverpool may now sign Federico Chiesa for €40 million after Juventus reduced their original asking price by €20 million. Jurgen Klopp was interested in the 25-year-old forward, but the Reds manager will not prioritize a deal for another attacker over a new midfielder.

In recent weeks, Liverpool has been under pressure to replace some of their seasoned players who have left for the riches of Saudi Arabia. Fabinho and Jordan Henderson departed the club to join teams in the Middle East, and Jurgen Klopp is still looking for replacements.

It is unclear whether they will sign numerous midfielders, but they will undoubtedly require at least one top-tier talent. They have so far demonstrated an unwillingness to pay Romeo Lavia’s asking price, raising doubts about whether the deal will go through.

Other options are being considered, but the Belgian remains Klopp’s top pick. If there is still time and money, the German may hunt for a center defender. As a result, despite earlier interest in Federico Chiesa, bringing in a new attacker is not part of their present plans.

The 25-year-old striker favors a move to Liverpool and may leave Juventus if clubs provide a reasonable fee for the Italian winger. In this window, the Bianconeri are cash-strapped and may have to sell some of their valued possessions to balance the books.

According to the same source, Juventus had sought €50-€60 million for Chiesa, but are now willing to make concessions. The Serie A giants are willing to reduce their asking price by €20 million, making Chiesa available for €40 million.

The mention of Liverpool’s interest comes from the Italian media, according to the site. It may appear to be a tactic by agents to keep liking the 25-year-old attacker with a move to Merseyside, who have previously loved the winger.

Liverpool had previously estimated Chiesa’s worth at €40 million and were unwilling to pay any more. As a result, any move now makes sense, but Klopp may not prioritize a transfer. Signing the 25-year-old attacker would seem useless given the Reds’ depth in wide areas.

Furthermore, his recent injury record has yet to see the winger regain his usual flow, raising questions about his talent. As a result, there are growing doubts that Liverpool will commence talks for this specific deal within this window.
