Tom Brady is glad for his health now that he is retired.
The 45-year-old quarterback tweeted a video from a beach football game he played with his former Patriots teammates in March, during a weekend break, and expressed gratitude for finishing the game without injury.
“Thank you for the opportunity to celebrate such an amazing life on and off the field with friends and family.” “Even more grateful to have made it through 30 minutes of beach football with no serious injuries,” Brady said on social media on Wednesday, adding a crying-laughing emoji.
Brady retired his cleats “for good” on February 1 after 23 seasons in the league and seven Super Bowl victories.
Brady was seen playing football on the beach with former New England targets and retired Super Bowl winners Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola in the video.
Brady’s children and former Buccaneers teammate, quarterback Blaine Gabbert, who signed with the Chiefs this week, were also in attendance.
“Boys are back together,” Brady’s TB12sports Twitter account stated.
Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin responded to Brady’s video on Twitter and Instagram, joking, “Enough of this retirement bs – time to pick a team and go back for an eighth ring!”
