Report: Man Utd set to complete 11 more deals before the transfer window closes

As Erik ten Hag finalizes his team for next season, Manchester United is set to sign a couple more players and let go as many as SEVEN.

Manchester United may still complete 11 transactions in both directions before the transfer window closes.

So far, the Red Devils have primarily focused on improving the team’s spine. Andre Onana has been named the new No. 1 goalie, with Mason Mount joining the team in midfield.

Following a £72 million transfer, Danish attacker Rasmus Hojlund was paraded at Old Trafford before of the preseason match against Lens. But the club’s business is far from complete, and there might be huge outgoings in the coming weeks, not to mention a slew of recognizable faces leaving.

The Manchester Evening News has revealed eight players on manager Erik ten Hag’s chopping list, as the emphasis shifts to removing deadwood.

Anthony Martial, Brandon Williams, Dean Henderson, Donny van de Beek, Eric Bailly, Fred, Harry Maguire, and Scott McTominay are all possible departures from Manchester United this summer, with varied degrees of interest in each. However, if a pair moves on for acceptable fees, it may open the way to two or three more signings.

Why would Rasmus Hojlund complete Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United team?

Ten Hag is interested in former Barcelona center-back Jean-Clair Todibo, according to Fabrizio Romano, while a deal for Sofyan Amrabat is ongoing. Following last season, both sections of the pitch are viewed as serious difficulties in terms of depth.

United struggled last season without another ball-winner in midfield to replace Casemiro, and Lisandro Martinez’s absence was felt as well when he was sidelined for the last game. Despite the fact that the squad’s priorities have been handled, Ten Hag will want to bring in both of these players in order to contend in what might become a 50 to 60-game season.

United are also thought to be interested in bringing in another goalkeeper to back up Onana.

Manchester United discussed a deal with Japanese star Zion Suzuki, but it was rejected by the custodian due to game-time concerns.
