The Denver Nuggets are the inaugural NBA champions.
The 2023 NBA Finals were won by the championship-winning team, who was captained by two-time NBA MVP Nikola Joki and outstanding point player Jamal Murray. They defeated the Miami Heat in five games. The Nuggets won 94-89 last night to end the series on the court at Ball Arena in Denver.
Joki scored the most points for Denver last night with 28 and pulled down 16 rebounds in the victory. The dominant center was awarded 2023 NBA Finals MVP following the contest. In the victory, Denver power forward Michael Porter Jr. scored 16 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Jamal Murray added 14 points and 8 assists.
The Nuggets players donned some of the best performance basketball shoes available right now on the court, including high-end styles from manufacturers with a long history in basketball (Nike, Jordan Brand) as well as newcomers to the market (New Balance and 361 Degrees).
Murray, a 2020 New Balance player who signed with the company, gave sneaker highlights. Murray used several variations of the company’s court-ready Two Wxy v3 shoe throughout the five-game series. Additionally, Bruce Brown and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope also sported multiple Nike Kobe silhouettes, as did 361 Degrees-supported baller Aaron Gordon, who laced up various hues of his 361 Degrees Zen 5 style.
