Connor Bedard received a warm welcome at Wrigley Field

The Blackhawks’ recent draft picks showed up for a tour of Wrigley Field on Sunday evening, a couple hours later than scheduled due to the absurd rain in Chicago. While David Ross and Luke Richardson had a brief conversation, they got to know a few Cubs, and Connor Bedard threw out one of the first pitches before the game. (Sorry, I have no idea why Jay Cutler was also present to throw out the first pitch.)

Getting a picture of Dansby Swanson and Bedard was enjoyable. The 2011 MLB Draft’s first overall choice was Swanson.

Ten of the Blackhawks’ eleven draft picks attended the event. This week, Roman Kantserov is not in Chicago due to a commitment in Russia.
