The English striker recently assisted Manchester United in qualifying for the Champions League, having earlier persuaded the government to extend the voucher program for free summer meals.

He also collected £20 million in food contributions for charity, so all in all, he’s been really active.

Rashford posted a series of images on Instagram yesterday (July 28) showing him assisting FareShare employees in loading food.

He captioned his post: “To the staff, volunteers and everyone that continues to work behind the scenes to make a difference THANK YOU! The world needs more people like you. Let’s keep going, the fight is far from over.”

The largest organization in the UK that works to end hunger and food waste is called FareShare.

Rashford will be the University of Manchester’s youngest honorary doctorate recipient in the institution’s history when he receives it this summer for his work fighting child poverty.

After hearing about his recognition, Rashford said: “It’s a proud day for myself and my family.

“We still have a long way to go in the fight to combat child poverty in this country but receiving recognition from your city means we are heading in the right direction and that means a lot.”

Marcus is a remarkable young man with an amazing talent and desire that extends well beyond the football pitch, according to Professor Dame Nancy Rothwell, president and vice-chancellor of the university.

“His charitable activities and his well-known campaign will benefit numerous young people not just in our own community but also across the entire nation.

“Social responsibility is ingrained in our university, and we are glad to share with Marcus this sense of civic obligation and pride. Marcus is the University’s youngest honorary degree recipient, which makes us very happy.
