Hojlund posts letter he wrote at 10 aged proves his dream was always to play for Man Utd

RASMUS HOJLUND is the latest player to admit that his childhood ambition was to play for Manchester United.

But the Red Devils’ new £72 million striker has the proof!

Hojlund, 20, revealed a statement he penned when he was ten for a school project, stating his two football goals.

Both have come true in less than a decade, a true accomplishment for the ‘winning child’ who drives the committed Dane to keep growing.

Hojlund read aloud to TV2 Sport a note he wrote ten years ago: “My goal is to play for the Danish national team and Manchester United.”

Part one of his dream became a reality last September with the first of his six senior caps.

The second portion was completed last week when United rebuffed PSG’s last-minute interest in completing his transfer from Atalanta.

“It’s about dreaming big and daring to dream big,” Hojlund told his home country’s television station. Otherwise, you will not achieve your objectives.

“It’s rare to get everything in one package, but with me and Manchester United, everything has just come together.” It’s an ideal match.

“Right now, the club is going through a transition, and I’d love to be a part of it.”

“This is also why I chose to come here now; I believe I can grow with the club and, hopefully, we can win a lot of trophies together.”

The Copenhagen-born hitman also tweeted a photo of himself as a schoolboy with his younger brothers Emil and Oscar, who were dressed in United jerseys.

Rasmus was dressed in black, while his siblings were dressed in crimson.

He stated that he was “very small” when he first became a fan of United.

“I think Rasmus at ten would probably be “buzzing,” as they say over here in England,” Hojlund continued.

“(He) set himself a goal, so that’s what I’ve gone after.”

Hojlund, on the other hand, will miss United’s opening two games due to a preseason injury suffered with Atalanta.

And he could be sidelined for a while longer due to claims that he has a back ailment that requires rest for full healing.
