Manchester United is currently making preparations to sell Harry Maguire to West Ham, which means that Ten Hag will have to find a replacement soon. The team has been linked with Jean-Clair Todibo, Edmond Tapsoba, and most recently, Benjamin Pavard.
Benjamin Pavard, who is open to leaving Bayern this summer, has expressed a strong desire to join Manchester United. Bayern is reportedly looking to receive 30 million euros for the World Cup champion, a reasonable price considering Pavard’s talent. Moreover, Ten Hag is fond of Pavard’s personality.
According to Fabrizio Romano, “Benjamin Pavard is ready to leave Bayern this summer and wants to move to Manchester United. He is eager to join the club and experience the Premier League.”
Ten Hag will soon have to make a decision between his two preferred options, Pavard and Todibo. Additionally, Tapsoba serves as a backup plan.
In terms of quality, Pavard stands out compared to Todibo or Tapsoba. The 27-year-old French player is versatile, capable of performing well as a right back and central defender. He would be a strong competitor for players like Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Diogo Dalot, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
