Done! Liverpool preparing to pay £122m for ‘England’s prince’ after breαk budget

This summer, Liverpool may have to shell out up to £122 million to get Mason Mount from Chelsea due to the Reds’ well-documented interest in the English midfielder. At the start of the following season, Jurgen Klopp’s team may need a change in the center of the field, and Mount’s contract at Stamford Bridge, which expires in less than 18 months, has piqued their curiosity.

Mount, 24, wants to be paid on par with several of Todd Boehly’s recent additions, thus negotiations between him and the Chelsea leadership have apparently been put on hold over a pay dispute. He wants to become one of the club’s highest earners, although negotiations are anticipated to pick up again at the end of the current campaign.

If a new contract cannot be reached, Mount may be among the players sold by Chelsea in the summer as they attempt to avoid Premier League punishments due to their financial problems. As Klopp stated when the midfielder made his England debut few years ago that he was worth at least £60 million, Liverpool is thought to have had a long-standing interest in Mount.

Sadly for Liverpool, it appears that Chelsea agrees with Klopp because they have reportedly put a £70 million price tag on his head for any club that wants to sign Him this summer.

Although it is a high price to pay for a player who may be available for free the next year, Boehly has shown himself to be prepared to spend money, thus he may decide to turn down any transfer offers in order to keep Mount for another season.

According to reports, Mount wants to be paid similarly to his teammate Reece James, who in September signed a new six-year contract reported to be worth about £250,000 per week. If Liverpool spends the necessary £70 million and pays him close to James’ number at roughly £200,000 per week, he might transfer to Anfield if his demands are turned down.

If Mount is given a five-year deal at Liverpool, the total cost over the five years—bonuses excluded—would be £52 million. Given that Liverpool’s supporters are aware that money needs to be spent this summer, it would be a significant spend from the club and a declaration of intent from the current ownership group.

Due to the upcoming free transfers of James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita as well as Thiago’s ongoing fitness issues and the regressions of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, Liverpool has suffered in the middle third of the field this season.

Together with Mount, Jude Bellingham has been identified as a priority target, but the Reds will face stiff competition from teams like Manchester City and Real Madrid. Yet if Chelsea maintain their asking price, Mount might end up costing just as much as the Borussia Dortmund player, who is expected to sell for over £100 million this summer.

‘I apologise’ – What Pep Guardiola has said about Liverpool ahead of Man City clαsh

This weekend, Liverpool resumes its Premier League campaign against Manchester City.

In their first match following the break, the Reds visit the Etihad Stadium. Liverpool’s fιght to finish in the top four of the Premier League is resumed.

With two games remaining, Jurgen Klopp’s team trails fourth-place Tottenham Hotspur by seven points. Liverpool is likewise 19 points back of Man City in second place, but they did triumph in the reverse match at Anfield in October.

Both Klopp and Pep Guardiola, the manager of Man City, have said a lot about their respective clubs over the years. Guardiola has frequently brought up the Reds, despite the fαct that neither club has competed for the Premier League’s top spot this season. Guardiola responded, “We will see,” when asked if the match could serve as a milestone for the Premier League. I’m not exactly sure what will occur. I’m not seeing this vision.

Liverpool deserves congratulations. The first 15-20 minutes they were superior, and as we got our game going, the latter 20-25 minutes of the first half were very close (between the teams). We come when they leave the area.

As they made the transition and took the penalty, things got more challenging. “The second half we started really well, our game was there, we were really excellent against this squad, confident, and creating enough chances to achieve it.

We started the preseason two weeks ago, so we shouldn’t have too high of expectations. The players heard me tell them how proud I was. We need to get better, and the timing is not the most important thing. We will accomplish it. We need this month, in addition to training, to establish our tempo.
