The release of NBA 2K24 is quickly approaching, and 2K recently made some of the player ratings available. LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Nikola Jokic all received great ratings, as usual. But none other than Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat is a guy who had a significant increase from 93 to 95. Butler and prospective future colleague Damian Lillard, who both achieved the same rating, are now two of the top players in the game. Jimmy, who is obviously excited about the rating, posted a hilarious response on Instagram.
The NBA and 2k ratings have had a lot of disagreements over the years. Many players have expressed their dissatisfaction with their ratings, particularly when they are unexpectedly low. Jamal Murray, a player for the Denver Nuggets, recently voiced his displeasure over the situation. Along with him, many people were startled when he received an 84. He had just won the NBA Championship, after all, so why was he still given such a demeaning number?

Jimmy Butler had a fantastic 2022–2023 campaign. He not only guided the subpar Miami Heat team to the Play-In competition but also helped them earn the eighth seed in the Playoffs. Butler also upped his level of play, making the Heat the first Play-In team to ever make it to the NBA Finals.
Moreover, despite the fact that they failed at the last obstacle, his efforts were not in vain. By making Miami the team to beat in the East once more, he has earned recognition from NBA 2k, the sport’s top video game.
Jimmy Buckets, one of the top players in the game, with a rating of 95. It’s also safe to say that he is delighted with the rating. Jimmy posted a video on Instagram showcasing his humorous response to the same. One in which he implies that he “no longer knows” anyone because he is so aware of everyone.
Jimmy is deserving of this NBA grade. He is rated among the top 10, along with players like Jayson Tatum, Damian Lillard, and Luka Doncic who have comparable ratings. And he is the only player in that group to be ranked behind LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Kevin Durant.

Jimmy Butler is undoubtedly thrilled about his new grade. Not everyone, though, is as content as Jimmy is. Jamal Murray wasn’t the only person who was surprised to learn of his 84 grade, as was already noted. Shaquille O’Neal, a great in the NBA, was likewise perplexed by his NBA 2K24 rating. Shaq was noticeably unhappy with his rating of 98 out of 100 after expecting a 99.
As usual, NBA 2K’s ratings have drawn varying responses. However, there is no denying that both players and fans will be eager to play the game. And play some ball with their preferred athletes.
