Ecuador midfielder agrees on 8-year contract with club option of a further year.
Chelsea on Monday announced the inking of Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion FC.
“I am so happy to join Chelsea! I am so excited to be here at this big club and I didn’t have to think twice when Chelsea called me, I just knew I wanted to sign for the club,” Caicedo said in a statement.
“It’s a dream come true to be here and I can’t wait to get started with the team,” he added.
The Blues said in a statement that Caicedo agreed on an eight-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with a club option of a further year.
The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Caicedo scored three goals in 32 matches for the Ecuadorian national team.
The 21-year-old previously made appearances for Beerschot and Brighton.
