Krejci is retiring after 15 years in the NHL.

β€œAfter 15 full NHL seasons I have decided to retire from the best league in the world,” Krejci wrote in a statement.

He was picked 63rd overall in the 2004 NHL draft by the Boston Bruins.

β€œI also want to thank the Jacobs family and the entire Bruins organization for believing in me over and over again and giving me the opportunity to be part of this amazing family for so many years,” he said in a statement.

He went on to play in three Stanley Cup Finals and held up the cup in 2011.
