Barcelona star annoyed by Vinicius Junior’s antics

“He talked a lot and I was a bit annoyed”

The Barcelona star was extremely annoyed by Vinicius Junior’s provocation. This is clearly demonstrated through an interview with Forbes.

Despite holding the advantage over Real Madrid when leading the great rival 1-0 in the first leg, however, Barcelona completely lost the game right at their home ground. They conceded 4 goals thereby losing the opportunity to reach the Copa del Rey final.

Not only that, the stars on the Barca side also showed inhibitions against the attacks from striker Vinicius Junior – who scored the opening goal for Real Madrid.

Throughout the match was the image of the 22-year-old player arguing and fighting with the duo Gavi and Ferran Torres.

Speaking after the game, defender Ronald Araujo was annoyed with Vinicius, he said:

“Vinicius is always provoking my teammates, messing with them.

I always say he is a great player, but Vinicius will improve a lot if he concentrates on playing. I have a lot of respect, but  he talked a lot and I was a bit annoyed.”

Besides, he also commented on Barca’s performance:

“We didn’t play well despite the fact that we had a great first half, but we conceded and after the second half we fell a lot.”

Vinicius to Ferran Torres: “Shut up, you’re…”

Wednesday’s Barcelona-Real Madrid game saw Vinicius score the first goal then get into a fight with Gavi, Ronald Araujo, and Ferran Torres. The cameras caught Vinicius yelling at Ferran, “Shut up, you’re terrible,” in particular.

As Vinicius was fouled in the 85th minute of the game, players from Barcelona and Real Madrid exchanged words. In order to prevent him from receiving a second yellow card and missing the May 6 Spanish Cup final versus Osasuna, his teammates attempted to calm him down.

Vinicius and Gavi had a rough collision in the opening period that led to yellow cards for both of them. At the time, many believed that a Real Madrid striker and a Barcelona midfielder would be dismissed for excessive revving.

Violent Scenes as Vinicius and Gavi Face Off in Tensive El Clasico Affair as Madrid Tears Barcelona Apart

A confrontation between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semifinal on Wednesday night involved Vinicius Junior and Gavi.

Madrid had nothing left to play for in the rematch at Camp Nou in the fifth meeting between the two Clasico heavyweights after losing the first leg by a score of one.

The zippy winger and Gavi were involved in a moment of madness in the first half of the Spanish Cup.

What happened?

Vinicius Junior confronted Gavi to express his displeasure because he was renowned for wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Gavi and the Brazilian were face to face as they exchanged a few words before the Brazilian shoved the Spanish child to the side.

The Barcelona midfielder was upset by Vini’s aggressive behavior and attempted to strike back but was stopped by Eduardo Camavinga, preventing what would have led to physical altercations and possible dismissals.

Although they both managed to stay on the field, they each received a yellow card as punishment.

What was the result?

Real Madrid will go on to rely heavily on Vinicius to help them overcome a first-leg deficit and get to the Copa del Rey final.

Vini’s goal in the first half was complemented by a stunning second-half hat trick by Karim Benzema, as Madrid stunned the Catalan giants in their home stadium.

Vinicius consoles Barca defender

In a striking contrast, Sports Brief noted that Vinicius Junior made a tender gesture toward Ronald Araujo at Camp Nou during Real Madrid’s La Liga matchup versus bitter rival FC Barcelona.

Despite being virtually unstoppable against any defense this season for Los Blancos, the Madrid winger frequently suffers when facing Araujo.

After his tragic own goal during the match, which ultimately ended in favor of Barca, Vini promptly walked over to console his countrymen.
